Supported Independent Living (SIL)

Shared homes where our team delivers daily support. Resilient Life Care holds the lease on each home and subleases it to the people who live there, so your home and your support come through one team.

Specialist Disability Accommodation (SDA)

Purpose-built accessible homes for participants with SDA funding in their NDIS plan. As a registered SDA provider we offer purpose-built homes, with the daily support delivered by the same team.

Plain-language guide

SIL and SDA are different things. Here is the simple version.

SIL is about the support.

Resilient Life Care holds the lease on the home and subleases it to the people who live there.
SIL is funded through the support funding in your NDIS plan. It is not accommodation funding.
No other provider is involved. One team looks after your home and your support.

SDA is about the home itself.

SDA funding sits in the participant's own NDIS plan and pays for a specially designed home.
Resilient Life Care is a registered SDA provider with purpose-built homes in Victoria and Queensland.
The home and the daily support inside it come from the same team, so nothing falls between two providers.

Design categories

The four SDA design categories, in plain language.

Every SDA home is built to one of four NDIS design categories. Your SDA funding says which category applies to you, and every home above shows its category up front.

Improved Liveability

Homes with better lighting, clear sightlines and easy layouts, designed for people with sensory, intellectual or cognitive impairment.

Fully Accessible

Homes designed for wheelchair access throughout, inside and out, for people with significant physical impairment.

Robust

Strong, durable homes designed to be safe and low-stimulation, reducing risk for residents and the people around them.

High Physical Support

Homes with a high level of physical access plus features like ceiling hoist provision and backup power, for people with very high support needs.
